Bug Festival – 9/15/12 {Flashback Friday}

A big room full of bugs and insects and beetles, oh my! Who wouldn’t want to go?

Rhino bug

The picture makes it look like I was nervous. I wasn't. I'm fine with almost all bugs as long as I know where they are ;)

After the bug festival my eyes were opened to all the amazing insects and spiders God has created. I was excited to find and capture (on camera) as many as I could!

Sabino Canyon – 8/25/12 {Flashback Friday}

I love Sabino Canyon, especially around the time when there’s lots of water – which brings frogs and tadpoles, two other things I love.

Orange!

I also convinced my siblings to wear orange – one more thing I love.

For this trip to the Canyon we took the tram to the top and then worked our way down catching the tram every few stops. We found a really great spot with lots of tadpoles, but no frogs 😦

Tadpole

We quickly emptied one of our water bottles and began catching the squiggle things. I think the max we had in the bottle at one time was 17…

After Lunch we continued to work our way down stopping at another body of water. We found more wild life there! A snake!

It was a great day with wonderful weather and beautiful skies, so of course my dad and I took lots of pictures…

The Past 4 Months in Pictures – part 2

Here’s our July trip to Mt. Lemmon in Pictures:

I hope you enjoyed the pictures (even though they were a bit late πŸ˜› )!

April 2012

I just realized today that I never posted about the month of April! Sorry!

Here is what I discovered this month:

  • That I don’t know the 10 plagues God sent to Egypt πŸ™„
  • I LOVE frogs! (did I mention that last time?)
  • Cousin and Aunt time is AMAZING
  • I miss my Uncle 😦
  • Scrap-booking from 8am-8pm with the only break being spent doing sign language at a funeral is VERY draining
  • Some people thing my photography is worth a Best of Class ribbon!

Here’s my month in pictures:

Note: My dad had his birthday as well, but I couldn’t find a great picture 😦

March 2012

March, one of the busiest months in Arizona because of theΒ amazing weather. Let’s see what fun things happened this month!

Here is what I discovered this month:

  • Hydroponics do not grow in our house
  • A lot of new stuff about my Church which just celebrated it’s 60th birthday!
  • I enjoy volleyball while it lasts, but the next day… πŸ˜› (maybe I’m doing it wrong?)
  • I really like catching frogs

Here’s my month in pictures:

No real reason this is here, I just thought it was too cute not to share!

Enjoying the new Elephant exhibit at the zoo

We have five Elephants in all

Isn't the little one cute?

The little lion cubs at the zoo aren't so little anymore!

The big truck that comes every month to drop off food for our large food order from Azure (don't worry, we aren't the only ones ordering all the food πŸ˜‰ )

Who says donuts aren't good for you?

Lots of cousin time! (pretty pink nail polish don't you think?)

That’s all for March. I apologize for it being posted so late… I will try to do better in the future.

PS I did not lie to you about posting pictures of something that happened in February. I have FINALLY got them and will post them as soon as I go through them πŸ˜‰

February 2012

Wow! I think I’m going to end up saying that every month, but really, wow. February has gone by so fast!

Here is what I discovered this month:

  • I greatly enjoy having short hair.
  • I love having bees model for me (as you will see in a soon to come post) only they move, A LOT.

Here are some pictures:

I went from this....

...to this!

Look at all that hair! Ready to be sent off πŸ˜€

There is one more highlight of February that I would love to share, but sadly, I don’t have the pictures yet…. Hope you enjoyed what was available!! πŸ˜€
